Is Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in the works at Sledgehammer Games and due for release this year?

A new Call Of Duty each year is as inevitable as the setting sun, but what we don't know is who is working on it, when it'll be out and whether it'll be a brand new Call Of Duty or a return to the Modern Warfare franchise.

Sledgehammer Games has posted 10 new job posts on LinkedIn, from Level Designer and Prop Artist to Core Engineer and FX Artist. All of these new roles, however, are temporary.

This could suggest that Sledgehammer Games is gearing up development on its game and, presuming it is the rumoured next Call Of Duty game, could suggest it would be looking to release in 2014.

This is a strong clue that Sledgehammer Games is entering crunch time on its Call Of Duty game.

There have been a number of suggestions before that Sledgehammer Games is at work on a brand new Call Of Duty game, and even a comment about the quality of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's 'photo-real' graphics.

Historically Call Of Duty games have been announced the same year as their release, with some officially unveiled in February and others as late as May and June.

If Sledgehammer Games is looking for a large pool of temporary developers to join its staff, it could well be preparing itself for a reveal of some kind.

With previous Sledgehammer developers name-dropping Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, is this going to be 2014's COD game?
