We recently caught up with Dead Rising 3 executive producer Josh Bridge to talk in-depth about upcoming Xbox One exclusive, Dead Rising 3.

As part of that conversation, Bridge explained why Dead Rising 3 is an Xbox One exclusive.

"We targeted next-gen. When we first started we didn’t know which platform, what those platforms were going to be, we just targeted next-gen and we started working out what that would be," Bridge told NowGamer.

"Then we started chatting with Microsoft and they gave us an opportunity to partner with them and it’s a huge honour for us," Bridge continued.

"With Capcom Vancouver, it’s a huge thing for us to be in a similar position that Capcom have been in the past with Microsoft and Dead Rising on the Xbox 360.

"Now, having the opportunity to work on the Xbox One, it’s awesome. We’ve worked really closely together on making this happen," said Bridge.

Bridge also commented on the important role Dead Rising 3 is playing for Microsoft in showcasing what the Xbox One can do.

"It’s scary, it’s exciting, the team is incredibly proud. Again, it’s a huge honour, just like, 'wow, this is great'," Bridge exclaimed.

"We had this opportunity for Capcom to do this and be on next-gen on day one with Dead Rising 3."
