Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag - 'Best' Mission Revealed By Ubisoft
Ubisoft comments Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's feedback system.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag asks players to rate each mission after they've completed it on a five-star scale.
We spoke to Ubisoft Motreal User Research Project Manager, Jonathan Dankoff, to ask what the developer is planning on doing with the feedback they receive.
"Ubisoft is actually using all of this data to improve future games," Dankoff explained.
"Ubisoft has been using data tracking to improve our titles for a while, but this is the first time we will be able to match gameplay metrics to player appreciation in order to dig even deeper into player behavior," Dankoff told NowGamer.
"The combination of the two data sources will give us incredible insight into how players are interacting with our game and guide future development teams to create missions that appeal to our players even more."
Dankoff also revealed which of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag's missions is currently highest rated by fans.
"We’re still in the early stages of collecting data, but already at this stage it’s impressive to see how closely the mission ratings mirror the results from our own pre-launch playtest sessions," said Dankoff.
"The current favorite mission decided by our fans is Sequence 02 Memory 06: The Treasure Fleet, but I look forward to seeing how the data evolves as more people play!"
It's nice to see Ubisoft taking player feedback on board, but we also worry that paying too much attention to fans could hamper creativity.
Whether this feedback system is something that will be implemented in future Ubisoft games, or if it will turn out to be a one off experiment, remains to be seen.
