Call Of Duty: Ghosts & Battlefield 4 1080p Native On PS4

Amid fears that Call Of Duty: Ghosts won't be 1080p on Xbox One, it seems Sony has confirmed it will - at least - be Full HD on PS4.

You may have heard the recent rumour that suggests the Xbox One version of Call Of Duty: Ghosts won't run at 1080p but that the PS4 version will.

In light of this, we checked Sony's PS4 pre-order section on the official Sony Entertainment Network store - and the results were interesting.

Hidden within the text detailing Call Of Duty: Ghosts is the message "Video output in Full HD 1080p requires 1080p native display", seemingly confirming that the PS4 version of the game will run natively at 1080p.

Other games available for PS4 pre-order on Sony's digital store also have this message, including Battlefield 4 - which was previously rumoured to not run natively in 1080p on PS4.

Free-to-play shooter Warframe and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag also include this message, confirming their native resolution.

But it's not just something that is copied and pasted onto all games available for PS4 pre-order on the store either, suggesting that this text has been explicitly placed here for those games.

Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall and the Gold Edition of Assassin's Creed 4 - which comes with special bonus extras - don't include this text.

This shouldn't be taken to mean these games won't run in 1080p, just that - if the text has been purposefully added to Call Of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed 4 - this is likely confirmation of PS4 games native 1080p resolutions.
