Japanese Tekken Movie Poster Hits

It's not coming out until March, and probably won't make it into cinemas over here - but a poster for the new Tekken film has been unveiled

Produced by Warner Bros, the live-action martial-arts movie is all set to hit Japanese cinemas in March 2010, followed by a straight-to-DVD and Blu-ray bow in the UK the following month.

Set in the war-ravaged world of 2039, the film follows the fortunes of street fighter Jin Kazama as he enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament to avenge the death of his mother.

“The film follows Jin Kazama as he enters the Iron Fist tournament ”

According to the press release the film "is in line to become one of the greatest action films of all time," but with an estimated budget of around $35 million, a script by Alan McElroy (of The Marine and Spawn fame) and direction ny Dwight Little - he did Anacondas and Murder at 1600 - we wouldn't exactly suggest missing out on Avatar in favour of this just yet.

Besides, when did a videogame ever make for a good movie? Especially a beat 'em up?
