I am a big Zelda fanboy I love all of them, even the bad ones.
Like Eiji Aonuma says, if it adds to the gameplay it will be good. But I can see some people seeing this as "OMG he's gonna watch TV and use guns!"
If it is the old meets new mix that the Zelda team are good at doing (the Dude has a camera and we all accept it!) when it comes to Link's items then it will be good.
