Play Killzone 2 online this weekend and level up
Tomorrow, November 26, is the Birthday of Killzone’s PAL release and it’s not just any Birthday. It’s been five years since the PS2 shooter was released and while it may have come on leaps and bounds since then there’s still a lot of love out there for it, not least from Guerrilla Games. Good news for you is that Guerrilla is sharing the love this weekend with double XP for Killzone 2 online play this coming weekend.
“It's been five years since the PS2 shooter was released ”
Between November 27-30 Guerrilla is inviting players to go a little retro to honour Killzone’s humble beginnings. There will be tournament play on the Beach Head and Southern Hills maps from the Flash & Thunder Map Pack DLC released a few months back. This has gone on sale in the US at only $2.99 for the two maps or $9.99 for the Map Pack Bundle. We couldn’t get confirmation of a similar deal for the UK, but we hope to know tomorrow for sure and we’ll let you know.
In the mean time it’s also worth mentioning that all other online play on Killzone 2 this weekend will also get you double XP so don’t go thinking you can’t reap the rewards if you haven’t invested in the DLC.
