EA Los Angeles take over from Pandemic
Pandemic may be gone but its legacy lives on in the form of a brand new Mercenaries game dubbed ‘Mercenaries Inc’.
EA Los Angeles is heading up the project (handy as that’s where several key Pandemic staffers ended up) but as yet we have no info regarding platform or release date. Although with the publisher admitting it is having mixed results with titles on Wii recently we're not holding out too much hope for an outing on Nintendo’s console.
“Demonstrates our continued commitment to Pandemic's rich catalogue of IP”
The only material we have to go on is a leaked video that made it onto the interweb yesterday showcasing some trademark Mercenaries' run and gun action.
Despite no concrete details from EA, group general manager, Nick Earl did say “We are very excited to announce a new instalment in the popular Mercenaries series because it demonstrates our continued commitment to Pandemic’s rich catalogue of intellectual properties.”
No comfort for former Pandemic employees we’re sure but we look forward to hearing more on Mercenaries Inc.
