Square Enix has expanded on the premise for the China-based crime sequel via a new fact sheet
The biggest development is that unlike the first game, players will take control of the 'self-medicated'/severely mulleted psycho, Lynch. He's apparently at peace in Shanghai, and putting together "a fat deal where the pay is beyond his wildest dreams and nothing is going to get in his way."
The story will involve Lynch's discovery that Shanghai is the "perfect playground for expat criminals such as [himself]; seduction and corruption highlight the contrasts of the city as players fight through the seedy underbelly of Shanghai – a juxtaposition of old-world and new-world ideals ripe with black-market opportunities for Kane and Lynch to exploit and reap rewards from."
“Shanghai is ripe with black-market opportunities for Kane and Lynch”
We still don't know how Kane gets involved, but players will be able to go it together locally and via online co-op. The game will also feature competitive online multiplayer, like the original. Check out Lynch's novel use for a bowling ball in the Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days teaser trailer.
