The upcoming Assassin’s Creed film has secured screenwriter Michael Lesslie.
The relatively unknown British writer will team up with lead actor Michael Fassbender for the Ubisoft Motion Pictures production based on the multi-million selling game series.
The movie will see Michael Fassbender, who starred in Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi flick Prometheus, play a bartender kidnapped by a shady corporation working with the Knights Templar.
He is forced to travel back in time to recover ancient artifacts left by his ancestors – all deadly assassins.
The film is yet to secure a director but is slated for a 2014 release.
