Now the Prestige glitch has been zapped, Theater mode is on standby to be brought back.

Black Ops 2 will have Theater brought back as part of its next update.
Game design director David Vonderhaar tweeted the news that Theater will be brought back as part of the next update, which will also tweak SMGs and UAVs.
Theater mode was widely believed to have been disabled after Treyarch discovered it played a part in a Prestige glitch, which was quickly beginning to spread among players.
