Media Molecule Says No To LBP Sequel

LittleBigPlanet developer says a sequel would be 'missing the point'
Anyone hoping for a LittleBigPlanet sequel will be sorely disappointed with the news that it is never going to happen, although anyone hoping for a LittleBigPlanet sequel will have missed the point of LittleBigPlanet so badly that you’d have to assume they hadn’t played it. It’s not just a game, it’s a platform in its own right and for that reason MM has clearly stated that it will continue to make regular updates available, including water coming soon, but is not planning on a sequel on the grounds that such a thing would disrupt and undermine everything that’s great about LittleBigPlanet. It’s down to the fans to keep producing ‘more of the same but better’ and they’re doing an admirable job so far.

Of course, if you really need a completely new LittleBigPlanet game, there’s always the PSP version (pictured above), which is out on 20 November.
