Skate 3's senior producer discusses a new direction for the franchise

At a recent Electronic Arts event Skate Senior producer Jason DeLong revealed some exciting details about the company’s upcoming street surfer.

This year’s addition will be all about team-play as you create your own brand and form a skate crew. Though you play as the same skater featured in the first games there’s a new city to shred (one that actually welcomes skaters) and new difficultly levels to try and encourage new players to climb on board.

“It's basically a whole new way to play the game”

As an added bonus you’ll also be able to build your own skate parks and upload them for other to skate and rate.

Commenting on Skate 3’s new direction DeLong said. “We’ve taken a lot of the gameplay modes from Skate 2 and readapted them for team play so it’s basically a whole new way to play the game. Plus we’re introducing a range of new modes.”

Check out the upcoming issue of X360 for more from DeLong on the game or follow the link to read our Skate 3 preview.
