Interplay has unveiled concept art to boost its claims that work is underway on the post-apocalyptic spin-off
It's the latest turn in the ongoing case between Bethesda and Interplay, with the former suing the latter to gain back control over the Fallout IP – the most recent point of contention being that Interplay failed to raise the funding required for the MMO, and the rights would revert back to Bethesda as per the terms of a 2007 agreement between the two.
“Interplay is seeking to retain minor licensing rights for the franchise”
Interplay recently countersued, accusing Bethesda of multiple breaches of contract, and is seeking to retain minor licensing rights for the Fallout franchise, or have the 2007 agreement scrapped with the entire IP returning to Interplay. The concept art is suitably post-apocalyptic, but we're guessing a finished game – should one get through all the red tape – is still a long way off.
