Assassin's Creed 3 creative director Alex Hutchinson has confirmed that Ubisoft's biggest franchise will continue to launch on an annual basis and the publisher has planned out a strategy for the series which will last "several years".
Asked at EG Expo if gamers could expect yearly Assassin's Creed releases in future Hutchinson told NowGamer:
"As long as everyone likes AC3! We've talked a lot about that. If we can tell a really high quality story and deliver it every year then I don't see any reason why we'd stop. At the moment it's such a popular franchise and we've managed to keep the quality up pretty much."
"Hopefully you guys will really like AC3, and if that's true then I'm sure we will [continue to release annually]."
Hutchinson added that the Assassin's Creed IP is planned out at Ubisoft for years to come. "We're in the best position we've been in the franchise in terms of having a plan of where we're going for the next several years."
Assassin's Creed 3 launches for PS3 and Xbox 360 on 31 October, following in November on Wii U and PC.
