Unreal Engine Helped Shape Current-Gen

Developers have agreed that Epic's third Unreal Engine has made a significant contribution to the current gaming landscape

Speaking to 360 magazine, Jamie Walker, studio director of Arkham Asylum devs Rocksteady, said: "Unreal has supported many strong titles, so it provides benchmarks for us that are incredibly valuable at the start of a project. Seeing what is possible with the technology helps us make good decisions early on.”

“Unreal has helped deliver some heavyweight titles so far this generation”

“No BioShock? No Mass Effect? No Rainbow Six? No Batman?" added Walker. "Unreal has helped deliver some heavyweight titles so far for this generation.”

For the entire feature, which also incudes input from Timegate chief technical officer Denis Papp, check out the current issue of 360 magazine.
