Valve has made quite a lot of announcements recently, and coverage of the Seattle-based developer/digital distributor has continued with an exclusive report on US TV channel Spike TV/G4TV.

Gabe Newell confirmed that Steam's long-promised, TV-friendly 'Big Picture' mode would offer “simple, easy-to-read navigation designed specifically for TV” -  a beta trial is incoming.

Newell also revealed Valve's previously-rumoured DOTA 2 documentary about pro-gaming with a trailer.

Asked about Half-Life 3, Newell reportedly responded "I hate sharks," possibly a reference to the Discovery Channel-inspired Shark Week in the US.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive launches next week - check out the launch trailer for more.
