PlayStation 4 and the next Xbox may not be public just yet, but EA Labels President Frank Gibeau has seen both of them in action, the executive has revealed at gamescom.
"I've seen both of them", Gibeau confirmd in a presentation on the future of gaming, as reported by GameSpot.
"Ten years ago we used to measure our market in terms of 200 million people. Now we are at a billion people playing games and we have a straight line view on 2 billion," he added.
With EA going big on free-to-play with the next Command & Conquer game, Gibeau added that "free-to-play will become the dominant pricing model by the end of the decade".
EA has yet to show off any next-gen products apart from the odd Wii U game, but rumours continue to swirl around Respawn Entertainment's unannounced FPS.
EA boss John Riccitiello recently predicted that next-gen consoles could launch as soon as next year.
