Naughty Dog's upcoming PS3-exclusive action-adventure The Last Of Us makes a stunning showing at gamescom.

The Last of Us continues to look at least as impressive as Naughty Dog's work on the Uncharted series, with a new trailer and screens debuting at gamescom.

The video reveals protagonists Joel and Ellie travelling, exploring, surviving and fighting their way through an overgrown, post-apocalyptic US, while the screens and concept art (below, right) reveal some of the bloodiness - and beauty - headed to Naughty Dog's game.

The Last of Us is scheduled to launch at some point in 2013.
