Gamescom 2012 is underway, with EA beginning its conference by demoing Army Of Two: The Devil's Cartel.
Overkill was the biggest feature revealed, which was described as a "short, but incredibly satisfying" ability that increases a player's damage output for a small period of time.
This 'devastating' ability was demoed first hand as a pair of developers on-stage rampaged through a building, wrecking cover and pillars.
Don't be surprised if it turns out that Army Of Two: The Devil's Cartel is built on DICE's Frostbite 2.0 engine.
The demo also highlighted separating paths for co-op partners, with one player hopping into a helicopter to cover his ally on the ground. If The Devil's Cartel has more of this, then co-op should provide a new experience for both players.
EA has also released this gameplay trailer below, comprised of sections from its gameplay demo during its conference.
