Wii U Release Date Week Of Black Friday, Games Retailing From $50 - Report
Has a Wii U release date finally been revealed, alongside expected prices?
Published on Aug 13, 2012
It might be strange to imagine but despite launching ahead of Christmas, Nintendo's Wii U still doesn't have an official release date.
Thanks to a GameStop employee speaking to GoNintendo, however, we might have discovered that Nintendo plans to release the Wii U the same week as Black Friday in America.
This would pit the Wii U as releasing on the week of the 24 November 2012.
Additionally, the source also revealed the price of potential Wii U games, stating that many are not estimates and are, in fact, confirmed final prices.
Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition and Scribblenauts Unlimited, for example, is shown to be retailing at $49.99 while others, such as Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed 3, will retail at $59.99.
A full list of possible pre-order titles was then sent to GoNintendo, highlighting some placeholder prices of $99.99.
Take this with a pinch of salt, but it seems like the best possible time for Nintendo to launch it's tumultous console to create some excitement ahead of Christmas.
Head over to GoNintendo to see the full-list of games and their prices.
