Mafia 3, the next sequel in Take Two's open world gangster series, is in the works for next-gen platforms, according to a report.

Mafia 3 is in development at 2K Czech and will launch on future-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles, according to a report on Eurogamer.cz.
According to the translation, Mafia 3 was intended as a launch title for next-gen systems, but that intention has taken a back seat as the studio fills numerous vacancies for the project.
The Mafia studio was at one point linked to development of GTA 5.
Until Take-Two announces the game, we'll treat this as a rumour - but 2K Czech has made the last two Mafia games and has numerous vacancies, including Lead Mission Designer.
