New Xbox 'Coming Out With Windows 8' - Windows Manager

Xbox 720 is likely set for an official reveal next year, but we could get a new Xbox model before then according to Windows general manager Brian Hall.

Discussing the demise/consolidation of Hotmail, Exchange and Outlook, to the Verge, Hall said:

"We just decided it was time to do something new and bring the best from each of those and put them together and release it right in time for the new wave of products that we could have coming out with Windows 8, with the new version of Office with the new Windows phone and the new Xbox."

It could well have been a slip of the tongue - with the new Xbox 360 dashboard in beta testing, Hall could have simply been referring to that.

So does that mean email on Xbox? Perhaps, or maybe Hall could have been referring to a new Xbox 360 SKU? We'll find out when Windows 8 launches on 26 October.
