Encourage people to connect their Wii to the internet and reap the rewards
Today Nintendo launched the new Connection Ambassador Promotion that is designed to reward Nintendo fans who convince their friends to connect their Wii to the internet.
By becoming a Connection Ambassador gamers can gain up to 10,000 Wii Points – all you have to do is help someone you know to connect their console to the internet for the first time and both of you will receive a 500 point reward.
“You'll receive a reward that's way better than any Peachy Princess”
If you help ten people connect you’ll reach Gold status and can download every single Nintendo-published NES game for free on Virtual Console as well as bagging an additional 5,000 Wii points.
If you’re really popular (or persuasive) and talk 20 people into getting online then there’s a sweet reward in it for you that's way better than any Peachy Princess. You’ll obtain Platinum status, 10,000 Wii Points and be able to download all NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 games for free.
Though trying to find 20 Wii owners who haven’t already connected to the internet might be a struggle, it seems the rewards are worth it – who doesn’t want Nintendo's back catalogue clogging up their hard drive?
