You still have to pay for multiplayer, but now it's less...
Capcom has announced a one week only price cut on Resident Evil 5’s well received release on the PlayStation Network. Starting today and lasting until 22 October the multiplayer expansion of this year’s biggest zombie hit will cost only £2.39/€2.99 across Europe (compared to the £3.99 it costs at all other times).
“It's nearly half-price. Nearly”
You may have seen Play Magazine’s review of the Versus mode in issue 179 where we expressed some concern for the fact that you were essentially paying for reworked versions of things already on the disc, but at this price it’s hard to argue you aren’t getting value for money. Versus mode really plays to the strengths of the Resi series rather than trying to shoe-horn in competitive multiplayer. If you love the Mercenaries mode then there’s no reason you won’t enjoy this.
