Assassin's Creed 3 isn't out until October, but the game's ending is already giving Ubisoft Montreal the shakes. Speaking with Eurogamer, creative director Alex Hutchinson explained why.
"You don't have a responsibility to deliver what people want all the time." Hutchinson said of the Assassin's Creed 3 ending, "If you can give a true ending, and a consistent ending that doesn't diverge from the rest of the game, then you just need to do your best."
Hutchinson continued, "There is some nervousness about the ending in context, but the beauty for us is that Connor has a story with a beginning, middle and an end. That helps us out."
What could Ubisoft Montreal possibly be nervous about? Will Desmond die? Will the world end? Will it be another Mass Effect 3 style outcry? We'll know more in October.
