Metal Gear Solid 5 maybe set for a reveal one day, but that day has yet to come according to series creator Hideo Kojima, who has called out rumoured MGS5 images as "completely fake".

The pictures hit the internet yesterday, but were almost immediately labelled as fakes by the Konami UK twitter account.

"I was wondering what was up, so I checked the net and was able to see the cause," Kojima said via Twitter (via Andriasang). "However, that title logo is completely fake. I apologise to those who were looking forward to it."

Kojima has been dropping hints about codenamed title, Project OGRE, via twitter in recent months, while Kojima Productions blatantly touted a new Metal Gear game for a recent recruitment drive.
