Sony could be gearing up to announce a new extra slim PS3 model, if a leaked document is anything to go by. Check out the details here.

Sony has registered a new document with the Federal Communications Commission, outlining a new PS3 model, CECH-4001x.

If legitimate, the document suggests that the new hardware will be smaller than current PS3 slim hardware.

With Gamescom around the corner, Sony could be getting ready to announce the new super slim PS3 at its annual pre-event showcase.
