Wii U received a second reveal after E3 2011's false start, and although Nintendo showed its hardware off in greater detail, there were still many questions to be asked.
Microsoft Studio's vice president Phil Spencer has thrown his hat in the ring, suggesting that the Wii U is no more powerful - graphically - than his company's own Xbox 360.
Spencer gave his opinion on Wii U in a GameIndustry interview, "[Nintendo] are building a platform that is effectively a 360 when you think of graphical capability."
"Now they are really making an on-ramp for the back catalog of games that are on 360," Spencer added, "It is easy for those games to move over the Wii U. They've moved the buttons around, and they've made a controller that feels familiar for 360 gamers, so I get why they are putting those pieces together."
While Spencer is a self-proclaimed Nintendo fan, his opinion does seem to suggest that Nintendo is playing catch-up with Xbox 360. Spencer also stresses that SmartGlass is not an attempt to cash-in on the ideas behind the Wii U tablet.
We'll have more on Wii U as it happens.
