PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale - like any good fighting game - needs someone who knows the genre inside out to make it work properly.
That's why today Sony Santa Monica Studio announced that it has hired ex-Capcom strategic marketing director of online and community Seth Killian.
Although PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is being developed by SuperBot, Killian will serve as lead designer on the project while at Sony Santa Monica Studio.
Over at the PS Blog, Killian said hello from his new HQ, "Fighting games are very close to my heart, and as someone that’s spent much of my life with traditional fighters, All-Stars has been a great opportunity to take a step back and rethink fighting fundamentals from the ground up."
"The entire team was put together from scratch to create this game," Killian adds, "and they are loaded with fighting game superstars (including some impressive tournament credentials–I’m not even the first EVO finalist to join the team!) who love great combat just as much as I do."
We'll have more on PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale as it happens.
