Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 hasn't had a multiplayer reveal yet, but last week Treyarch announced that the controversial map Nuketown would return as free pre-order DLC, in the form of 'Nuketown 2025'.
Studio head at Treyarch Mark Lamia discussed why the team chose to bring back Nuketown, "Multiplayer fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown."
"Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November."
So, how can you get your itching trigger fingers on Nuketown 2025? Simply preorder Black Ops 2 from participating stores and download it on release day 13th November. Simple.
An official Activision pre-order blurb describes Nuketown 2025. "Now reimagined in a 50′s depiction of the “Model Home of the Future”, Nuketown 2025 is set to take that familiar close-quarters chaos into the future."
We'll have more on Black Ops 2 multiplayer over the rest of summer. Stay tuned.
