Nintendo 3DS XL was revealed during the latest edition of Nintendo Direct, with a confirmed release date of 28th July.
The hardware will feature a new screen that is 90 per cent bigger, a four GB SD card and will come in three colours - silver and black, red and blac, blue and black.
However, the Nintendo 3DS XL doesn't include the much sought-after second thumb stick, and amazingly, an AC adapter.
Nintendo attempted to justify the lack of power adapter in a statement, "Even with the addition of the bigger screen, Nintendo’s aim was to still make the system available at a reasonable purchase price. Because of this, and because so many fans already own a previous handheld, an AC adapter will not be included."
The jury is still out on the decision.
Nintendo also discussed a 17th August release for New Super Mario Bros. 2, and announced the launch of New Art Academy on 28th July.
