Funcom Confirms Secret World Delay

Director of communications Erling Ellingsen has confirmed reports of major staff cuts according to joystiq

The Age Of Conan developer will be making staff cuts meaning that Ragnar Tørnquist's intriuging-looking MMO The Secret World will be held up by a few months, although its upcoming Conan expansion won't be affected.

“This has nothing to do with the establishment of our studio in Canada”

The lay-offs will be mainly at Funcom's Norwegian office in Oslo, although Ellingsen was quick to explain that "this has nothing to do with the establishment of our studio in Canada." Much of The Secret World has been under wraps since it was originally announced back in 2007 – follow the links to watch the first and second teasers for the game.
