Director of communications Erling Ellingsen has confirmed reports of major staff cuts according to joystiq

The Age Of Conan developer will be making staff cuts meaning that Ragnar Tørnquist's intriuging-looking MMO The Secret World will be held up by a few months, although its upcoming Conan expansion won't be affected.

The lay-offs will be mainly at Funcom's Norwegian office in Oslo, although Ellingsen was quick to explain that "this has nothing to do with the establishment of our studio in Canada."
