Microsoft Confirms Sky For Xbox In October

Tom Hopkins 10:58, Monday 28 September 2009

Following recent reports Microsoft has said everything's set for the satellite TV service to make its Xbox debut

According to an article in this month's Sky Magazine, the collaboration is set to happen in 'mid-October' following an announcement at this year's E3. There's even an official, albeit empty website at sky.com/xbox360. The article also details the requirements for the IPTV service – users will need an Xbox Live Gold account to access Sky Player, with expanded (ie more expensive) subscription options available to watch 'premium content' such as Premier League football and movies. Pricing is still a mystery, but no doubt details will emerge over the next couple of weeks.
