Takedown, the Kickstarter project from former Ubisoft, Red Storm Entertainment, Microsoft, Bungie, and Warner Bros. developer Christian Allen has passed it's target of $200,000 meaning development on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 tactical shooter can now begin.

Robert Bowling, former Call of Duty Creative Strategist appears to have had a big say in the final hours of funding too, with his twitter account suggesting a late $7,500 pledge from the ex-Infinity Ward man.

It's just the latest high profile Kickstarter project to gain fan approval after Double Fine raised over $3m for a new adventure game in February.

InXile have since Kickstarted a sequel to Wasteland, while Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Software has also announced plans to turn to the crowdsourcing site.
