Crysis engine CryEngine 3 could be running on Microsoft's next console sooner rather than later if tweets by a Crytek employee are any indication.
As spotted on GAF, Sean Tracy, Senior Technical Designer at Crytek tweeted earlier today: "seeing some CryEngine licensee videos, blowing my mind they'll go public later next week stay tuned!"
CryEngine 3 has a number of licensees with numerous projects still under wraps, but minutes later Tracy added: "Enjoying the Durango developers summit in London. So far, great swag and interesting talks."
Durango. Developers. Durango is rumoured to be the internal codename for Microsoft's next-gen hardware. It doesn't take a detective to come to the conclusion that Microsoft could have some sort of next-gen developer event happening.
A developers summit in London attended by someone from Crytek who referes to it as Durango certainly gets our attention - of course it could all be nothing. Or is it?
