EA and Funcom's intriguing new MMO will be launching on 19 June, according to creative director Ragnar Tørnquist - later than it's previously expected release date of April.
The delay was part of the team's decision to increase its quality, with Tørnquist saying "allowing for even more time to polish the game really shows just how much faith Funcom as a company has in The Secret World."
It's proof of the teams commitment to "making it the best it can be", he added.
The delay will increase efforts on beta testing too, with "several public beta events where hundreds of thousands of gamers will get to test the game prior to launch" on the way.
This will add to the current beta servicing 750,000 people, and help The Secret Worlds developer iron out any of the niggles that often come with MMO development.
