Tiger Woods 13 will be the first game in the series to include Kinect functionality, EA has announced. The last two games in the Tiger Woods franchise have supported PlayStation Move, but this is the first time Kinect has been integrated.

The game's interface as well as play-mechanics have all been fully integrated with Kinect and voice control functionality, and is aimed at newcomers as well as golf enthusiasts according to lead designer Mike DeVault.

"Our Kinect integration delivers an experience catered to a wide variety of skill levels," DeVault tod NowGamer earlier this week. "We have four unique difficulties that are catered towards everyone from the most entry level player to the true Tour Pro.

Kinect opens up the game to both the casual crowd as well as active golfers, DeVault said. "While we do offer the entry level experiences, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 does deliver the first simulation golf experience on the Kinect.  So on the higher difficulty levels you’d better bring your A-game."

When we pressed DeVault on how accurate Kinect is, he added: "The simulation swing that we’ve implemented this year definitely requires you to execute a sound golf swing."
