Brink developer Splash Damage has "several significant announcements to make in the coming weeks and months," according to a new blog post by studio boss Paul Wedgwood.
Multiplayer-focused Splash Damage will "be revealing new titles" for PC and consoles, as well as new platforms Wedgwood confirmed.
"Thanks to the wonders of digital distribution, we can buy games directly from their developers, and play them immediately. Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are more widespread than ever before, and these let us play wherever we are," wrote the studio CEO ad Game Director. "More recently, the rise of good free-to-play games has allowed players to get their feet wet without demanding a big investment upfront."
Wedgwood described 2012 as "a special year" for Splash Damage.
"We've got several significant announcements to make in the coming weeks and months. We've hired some amazing new talent, strengthening our team in key areas. We'll be revealing new titles - both on platforms we've previously visited (including the PC and the world's leading consoles), as well as exploring spaces completely new to us."
Splash Damage also has "some special things planned to take full advantage of the changes our industry is experiencing," added Wedgwood.
Will Brink go free-to-play? Will the studio make a new mobile MP shooter? Is GI Joe the license Splash Damage is making a game around?
