The Sims and Sim City could soon be joined by a new spin-off IP from Maxis and EA according to CVs uncovered by online super-sleuth Superannuation.
The LinkedIn pages of UK EA devs Micha Noordegraaf (VFX Artist) and Lead User Interface Designer Kim Hughes mention both an "unannounced game in collaboration with the EA Maxis Studio in California" and work on an "a new unannounced Maxis IP" respectively.
Meanwhile, the online CV of CG supervisor Matthew Thomson also makes reference to a "Maxis Style Sim Game PC (Currently unannounced)".
The last game from Maxis was last year's action-RPG Darkspore, with The Sims and relevant expansions now developed at a dedicated studio.
Will the new project keep the 'Sim' theme going? Is Will Wright set for a dramatic return to Maxis? Probably not on that last one. We'll ask EA for clarification.
