Diablo 3 Release Date In January - UK Retailer

Diablo 3, the long-awaited action RPG from Blizzard Entertainment, has been pegged for a release on 24 January 2012 by online retailer Play.com.

Diablo 3 is still in beta on an invite-only basis with more participants being added incremantally since it went live in September.

Blizzard previously revealed an "expected launch window" of early 2012 for Diablo 3, so late January is a fair bet.

It could be a little on the optimistic side given Blizzard's tendency to do things at its own pace and the potential complexity of testing features such as the incoming Auction House.

Blizzard is also heavily-investing in exploring a Diablo 3 release for consoles, although nothing has been officially announced.
