Next-gen only way to improve says BF3 producer.

Battlefield 3 and Rage can't be bettered in terms of pushing the current generation of consoles to their limits, according to DICE producer Patrick Liu.
"Both Battlefield 3 and Rage are pushing console hardware as much as developers can now, and I don’t think anyone will make something better with this generation of consoles," he told NowGamer. "If we were to do something bigger – which we can – then we would require a next generation console."
Both Rage and Battlefield feature an optional installation on consoles to enable the streaming of high resolution textures. As for what he'd like to see in the next-generation of consoles, the story is much the same as other developers.
"Always processing power," Liu confirmed. "One bottleneck that we always encounter - both on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 - is memory. If we had double the amount of memory, it would be great. We could do so much more. So I think more memory would give us more bang for our buck."
The Battlefield 3 open beta ended today - but the full game hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 28 October.
