NowGamer recently interviewed Valve's Gave Newell at Gamescom regarding Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and DotA 2. You can read the full interview here.

In the interview, Newell promised that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive would deliver the best that the series has to offer, "We haven't seen Counter-Strike on consoles since 2003, so we invited lots of the pro players to Valve and we asked them what they liked best about Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source. So we're planning to take the best of both games and make it better."
