Hitman Dev: ‘We’re Not Playing It Safe’
“I wouldn’t say we’re playing it safe this time,” said game director Tore Blystad. “For our hardcore fans, things are changing and whatever we change, they are screaming very loud.”
Some Hitman fans have been up in arms about new features such as a the optional ‘intuition’ mechanic which enables Agent 47 to see enemies and AI paths across an environment.
“We’re taking bold moves with this one but it’s all for the sake of the game,” added Blystad. “Everyone on the team wants to make the best Hitman game they possibly can. Most people came to IO because they want to work on Hitman so it’s not like we want to destroy the franchise. We want to make something really cool.”
