Half-Life 3 Is ‘Being Worked On’, Confirms Counter-Strike Creator
Fabled Valve game Half-Life 3 is in the works, confirms creator of Counter-Strike Le Minh.
Minh previously worked at Valve on the Counter Strike franchise, but has since left to work on his own projects. However during a Twitch interview (spotted by NeoGAF), Minh confirmed that he had seen Half-Life 3 content.
He specifies concept art and images that ‘could be in the Half-Life universe’ as some of the things he had seen, but all the same a direct confirmation that it is happening will no doubt excite some.
“I think it’s kind of public knowledge that people know that it is being worked on, so if I was to say ‘yeah, I’ve seen some images’ like some concept art of it that wouldn’t be big news.”
We’ve seen proposed leaked Half-Life 3 concept art before, so that’s hardly a surprise.
“I guess I could say that I did see something that could be in the Half-Life universe. I mean it wouldn’t surprise anyone if I said yeah they’re working on it.
“To go out on a limb, I would say I did see some Half-Life 3 concept art.”
He then adds that the fact that Half-Life 3 is happening – and that it is common knowledge – is “old news by now”.
Minh then went on to discuss the “new Left 4 Dead”, though he seemed to be under the impression that it had already been announced by Valve.
It has not.
“It wouldn’t be any news if I said ‘yes, I saw it’ and it looks great,” said Minh. “I was really excited when I saw that, like ‘wow, this looks great’.”
So there you have it, Half-Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 both confirmed. Sort of.
