Well hello there and welcome to the new NowGamer.
NowGamer’s editorial and web design boffins have been working round the clock to design and bring you… NowGamer 2.0!
If you’re a regular visitor to these pages then you’re likely to notice a number of major changes. If you’re not, then keep reading because you’ll still get to find out about all the cool stuff on our new site.
Firstly, you’ll see there’s a lot more multimedia and HD content. This is because we want to show games off in their best light, which, in this day and age, means lashings of HD content and loads of video everywhere. So on the new NowGamer you’ll see video on reviews, previews, features, cheats… just about anywhere we can cram it because, let’s face it, short of playing a demo, it’s the best way of getting an idea of what a game’s like to play.
Our news section will benefit hugely from this new function, and this will be the place to find all the latest HD screenshot galleries and trailers along with all the news that’s fit to print. Figuratively speaking, of course.
We’ve also taken time to give the site a face-lift, so you’ll see a much more colourful, brighter outlook, with more images used throughout the site. You’ll also see more ‘related content’ boxes around the place so you’ll be able to find interesting and related articles about the games you’re interested in.
We want your brains. Not in a zombie-want-brains sense, no, but in that we want you to tell us – and your fellow NowGamers – what you think about the games, about the articles and about the site in general. Discussion, opinion, debate: these are the things that make being a game fan so much fun. So we’ve made commenting much easier. It’s also much easier to write a user review and leave your mark by scoring a game or telling the world how much you’re anticipating an upcoming release by leaving a rating in our previews section.
You’ll also notice the NowGamer Social Hub box dotted around the site. Here you can get a quick look at what’s going on in our heads via Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Oh, and if you chat to the team via Twitter, you’ll see your tweets appear here! You’ll be famous! Nearly!
What else? Well, I recommend you check out our new homepage carousel, which among other things can now host video – we’ll be using it to premiere big new game trailers. There’s also our mighty ‘Everything You Need To Know’ features which collate all the essential information about the year’s big releases. Oh, and check out our new top ten video features and our sexy new Most Viewed widget that shows you the most popular articles for the day, week and month.
There’s a lot more I could tell you about that’s going on under NowGamer’s skirts – if you will – but that would probably bore you. So all I’ll say is that the tech platform we’re on enables straightforward development of features and articles so there’s a lot more we can do and will be doing in the near future that’ll make our future coverage even better.
I’m really excited about what we’ve got planned, so look out for this stuff in the very near future.
Anyway, that’s for later. For now there’s loads more to see and do, so why not have a look around and let me know what you think of the new site. All feedback is welcome, so please don’t hesitate to give me a shout if you’ve any questions or suggestions.

NowGamer Editor in Chief
