D&D: Daggerdale Has ‘Special Ending’
"We are working with Atari and Wizards of the Coast on the next steps of the Daggerdale adventure. We have a very special ending to the game… we’ll just leave it there for now" says Zandro Chan, creative director of Bedlam Games.
Not only a reference to potentially keeping Daggerdale going post-launch, but also ending the main game with a bang, it would seem there's far more to the next step in the Dungeons & Dragon canon that many had predicted.
Wanting to take this ambition further, Chan also admitted that this isn't your usual corridor-confined adventure.
"There are a great number of quests that will make up the main playpath in the campaign. On top of that there is also a number of optional quests that players can take on. We are still in the process of putting the quests and bosses in, so it is difficult to guage the exact number of gameplay hours at this time."
With drop-in/drop-out co-op confirmed, that scales the difficulty as and when necessary, Daggerdale is expanding rather rapidly, especially considering from a console point of view, we're looking at a downloadable XBLA and PSN game.
