Black Ops 2: Treyarch Warning To Prestige Glitchers
Treyarch has warned those using a Prestige glitch on Black Ops 2 that ‘solutions and demotions’ are on the way.
News of a Prestige glitch that allows players to instantly rank up to level 55 has started to spread among the Black Ops 2 community over the past week.
The glitch is said to involve watching a certain video on the inbuilt COD TV option. We’re not entirely sure of the ins and outs yet but it certainly sounds easier than the need to modify lobbies, as was the case with Call Of Duty: World At War’s Prestige glitch.
But the important thing is that Treyarch has noticed.
“Noticed a few ‘level 10’ guys ruining the party for everyone,” Treyarch tweeted from its official account. “Enjoy your new rank while it lasts. Solution (and demotions) incoming.”
They also tweeted “FYI…in the short term, Edited Films and Emblems will be unavailable. Back online as soon as possible.” Edited films could be to do with COD TV and how the Prestige glitch is working.
Finally, Treyarch tweeted a reminder about Black Ops 2’s Security Enforcement Policy.
Along with the Prestige glitch, there’s been growing discontent with the netcode and in particular, lag compensation. Despite the problems, we’re still having a blast online with Treyarch’s shooter. Are you still enjoying Black Ops 2 multiplayer?
