BioShock Infinite Delayed To 2013 To Make It ‘Even More Extraordinary’
BioShock Infinite has been delayed from October until 26 February 2013, publisher Take Two and studio Irrational Games have confirmed.
“When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing,” Irrational Games Creative Director, Ken Levine, explained. “Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.”
The move comes amid intense speculation over Rockstar and Take Two’s plans for GTA 5, for which a release date is still unannounced.
Recent rumours have suggested a launch towards the end of 2012 – Take Two now has a gap in its schedule with BioShock Infinite previously set to launch on 16 October in the US.
